The property

Short Street Cottage is a place to relax, rejuvenate and get away from it all without shops, traffic and all the other things that go with our fast paced lives. With the Cottage to yourself and 300 acres to explore, there is plenty of space to roam free and take in the peaceful surroundings. A few of our favourite things to do are;

• Pack a picnic and take a walk to the beautiful scenic gorge, as you go remember to look up into the trees as there is beautiful bird life including an amazing eagle’s nest along the route

• Go trout fishing, we will give you tips on the best spots to go during the fishing season (Oct-June)

• Take a guided tour of the local village and the relics of its history of the gold rush era.

• Pack up the Webber and head to the creek for a BBQ and a swim during the warmer months

• Go horse riding at Tamworth & Kootingal Horse Riding Adventures

• Walk to the top of the hill for sundowner drinks and watch the sun setting over the hills

• Bring your bikes and ride along the quiet country roads

• Light the firepit and cook on the hotplate or make a pot roast in the camp oven or simply toast marshmallows – we provide the marshmallows you just need to find the perfect stick!
